I have recently joined the Board of a really exciting nonprofit here in NYC called Project EATS, the primary program of Active Citizen Project. Project EATS has built 17 community-based high yield production farms in low-income (or underserved) communities throughout all 5 boroughs of NYC.
In addition to the farms, we provide agriculture education to both youth and adults, employment opportunities, and an array of community programs designed to support residents in using what we have to create what we need.
Nothing would give me more pleasure this big birthday year than to help support this amazing organization. For my birthday, and for our communities, please consider a donation to Project EATS. I know together we can reach and surpass my $2,500 goal.
